About Ayurveda: Therapies, Doshas, Treatment

Ayurveda is ancient medicine system originated in India. Ayurveda is derived from Sanskrit word Ayu means life and veda means science. It means science of life. Its approach is holistic and medicines are prepared from medicinal plants. Main principle is to prevent diseases before causing rather than curing diseases after causing.

According to ayurveda a human body is classifieds into three doshas: Pitta, Vatta and Kapha. Degree of doshas vary from person to person. Treatment is given based on respective body constituency. 


Not only treatment, ayurveda rejuvenation therapies like massage, beauty therapy, aroma, yoga, panchakarma etc. Panchakarma is detoxification procedure to remove toxins from the body. It is set of five therapies. 

Ayurveda is now globally accepted medical system. Since it has no side effect people are showing interest towards it. 

There many institutions which provide short term ayurveda training courses in India. These courses are helpfull in gaining basic knowledges about ayurveda.
